News and discussion on "non-lethal" biochemical weapons

This list is for news and discussion on "non-lethal" biological and chemical weapons. For example, the "gas" used by Russian special forces in the 2002 assault on the Dubrovka Theatre in Moscow. We also have been known to veer into some aspects of directed energy weapons such as the "Pulsed Energy Projectile" (PEP) and "Active Denial System" (ADS, sometimes dubbed "Rumsfeld's Ray Gun").

The list focuses mainly on weapons for military use, especially those under development by the US Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate (JNLWD). We have a significant interest in crowd control weapons. We also pay attention to some aspects of law enforcement development and use of "non-lethals".
