News and discussion on biodefense research and BSL-3/4 labs

This list is for news, discussion, and commentary on the US biodefense program (with a sprinkling of news from other countries). Particular focuses are on new lab construction, transparency, and biosafety, including Institutional Biosafety Committees.

Be forewarned that there are folks from all corners of the issue on this list, including anti-lab activists, architects and engineers seeking lab construction deals, "spies" from biodefense labs and government agencies, regular members of the public, and everyone in between. Bear that in mind if you offer comments.
